Whilst I don't celebrate Hallo'ween and therefore don't have a jack-o-lantern to dispose of, I have on occassion, had to work out what to do with a not so fresh anymore pumpkin. Composting needn't be hard. We just have a composting bin, and I throw the pumpkin in there, and chop it up with the spade a few times, LOL. It works just fine. My vote goes to composting it.
