Love all the homemade costumes! And your recycling idea is great. We’ve done this several times in our neighborhood. Another great place to pick up some accessories is the salvation army or goodwill. You’d be surprised at the great finds you’ll come up with.

Last year my daughters dressed as caterpillars. All black and then stuffing colorful striped socks and sew it as the legs.It is so cheap, creative and unique.

We already purchased costumes this year but upon stroking the check immediately imformed the kids that next year’s costumes were going to me made at home. They are pretty creative kids and given that it is a known, they are already on board with the plan. As for this year, Hermione Granger and a flapper girl are the costumes of choice.

Something along the line of a lego person are a likely costume!
