I&#039;ve been using the method of asking my kids to fetch things, and turning it almost into a competition between them, that keeps them interested while shopping. I&#039;ve found it to be a pretty bad idea to try to use food as a reward though, especially cakes, or treats; when I did that they seemed to think I was punishing them when they had veg with their dinner!
