I think small schools are better, theres better teacher to student ratios so the student can get more help and learn more.

I just switched my 5 year old to a public school form a private Bible based school. He really misses his old friends and I am (secretly) wondering if I made a mistake. I feel like he is just a number in public school and at the private school I knew everyone and he knew everyone. I felt like he was truly loved, taught, and cared for. Then I see the other side, public schools do background checks for all volunteers and they have teachers/helpers on every corner in the morning, so maybe it's safer. I'm really not sure. In one way, I want him to get used to public school, the larger school, so it won't be so hard on him when he is older. In another way, he is my baby. I want to keep him safe and in the small school where I know everyone. Its a very hard decision and only you will know whats best and if you are like me you won't know whats best. Since we already moved him to public school, we are trying it for a while, but if we still don't like it in a month, I might switch him back. I wish you the best in making the decision. We love our children and want the best for them.
I didnt even mention the academics. I know public schools are tested and you know they are up to standards. Some private schools don't have testing.

Good luck.
