Happy Holidays Everyone! :)

My son was in a rush to have his long list of toys sent to Santa in time and he can’t wait till thursday. He gets so excited to set up the cookies and milk. He even got a suprise call from Santa this year, I found this really cute thing where you just text XMAS to 50799 and Santa will call you. They called me back after the text to set up the call and I had him answer the phone. Jake’s face was priceless, he told all his friends at school. We also just added a homemade gingerbread house to our list of Christmas traditions, I hope they continue the call from Santa every year too.

I hope everyone has already sent the Christmas cards and gets there shopping done in time.

[...] He went back to the store, told the clerk what he found, and returned the money. He said. “In hindsight, I guess it would have been nice to have. And Christmas sure would have been great, but it wasn’t mine. That’s the way I was brought up and it’s what I teach my children.” [...]

I make a glittery, sparkly letter myself every year for our son. Complete with "reindeer dust" (glitter) in a plastic baggy with directions from Santa to sprinkle it on the doorstep on Christmas Eve so the reindeer know where to land.

Wow that's great! I had no idea something like that even existed. My wife and I were going to work on the Christmas lists with the kids this weekend, and now we can actually have them get something back from Santa. Our oldest is 6 years old and we're willing to do whatever it takes to keep him "believing" as long as possible. Our biggest fear is that he's going to catch on and ruin it for his younger siblings....

Thanks for the idea!
